Abstract:
The article suggests a balanced approach to justify the perspective of innovative image region based on the principles of complementary use of traditional methods of economic statistics, regional marketing and sociological methods of monitoring. Such an approach based on multi-factor analysis of innovation potential and innovative capacity in the region, helps to build an objective evidence-based strategy of innovative development of the territory and to draw the attention of entrepreneurs and investors to the prospective resources of its growth. There are identified key criteria for choosing priorities of strategy of formation of innovative image of the region. The authors make special emphasis on the concerns of improve regional innovation policies, strengthen its stimulating effects on innovative activity and the formation of an innovative image.
