Abstract:
The research demonstrates the points of genesis for different hybrid forms on industry life cycle curve. It is demonstrated that hybrid governance forms of organization emerging on growing industry life stages such as “Embryonic”, “Growth”, “Shakeout”, which require higher level of organizational adaptation. It is identified that hybrid organizations with less formulized relations (relations required lower level of coordination and as a result — with lower transactional costs level) emerge on earlier growth stages of industry life curve: these are subcontracting, franchising, and firm network. Hybrid organizations with more formulized relations (relations required higher level of coordination and as a result have higher transactional costs level) emerge on ripe growth stages of industry life curve: these are alliances, collective trademarks. The conclusions of research will help economists and managers make relative choice of hybrid governance form and carry out the projection of hybrid forms development in various industries with different life cycle stages of their development.
