Teoretiko and methodological approaches to the analysis of the knowledge economy at the regional level

Abstract:

The article shows the main theoretical approaches to regional economic research, since the XIX century. We discuss the concept of the knowledge economy as the strategic direction of regional development. A critical review of the methods and models used to analyze the level of development of the knowledge economy at the regional level. Considered as an econometric or institutional analysis methods. Separately allocated composite index of the knowledge economy.
