Abstract:
In this article the analysis of functioning of state ownership is provided in modern economy. In it is shown that in the conditions of scientific and technical progress and scientific and technical revolution its role and value amplifies. In this regard prospects of its development are shown. They are defined by that in market economy it is necessary to consider variety, functioning of various forms of ownership. Among them the special major role is played by state ownership, its use allows to solve successfully many extremely important problems, first of all such which are connected with need of a sustainable development of modern economy, to use by it of achievements of scientific and technical progress and scientific and technical revolution, ensuring steady growth of welfare of all members of society.
