Abstract:
This paper proposes an original methodological approach to the evaluation of the success of small and medium-sized business in Russia. Based on the understanding of business success as its «vitality» (expressed in the ability to grow, to make a profit, to be better than competitors),author determine the new method of calculation the integral business success index. The proposed methodology is based on accounting data from information databases (such as FIRA PRO) and allows to make an unambiguous conclusion about whether a particular company successful.The results of proposed method has a practical significance in assessing the business success, and can be used to further study the success factors of small and medium-sized businesses, to identify best practices that will serve to ensure the advanced development of the Russian economy.
