Innovative clusters as regional centres of self-development: problems of formation and support mechanisms

Abstract:

In this article the authors suggest methodological approaches to the use of innovative systems as an effective instrument for strengthening the foundations for self development in the region. These proposals are based on analysis of problems and contradictions of development of innovation infrastructure in Russia. There are described problems justifying of the broad outlines and priorities of the network of innovation infrastructure in Russia, taking into account the level of development and specificities of the scientific and technical, innovative and productive capacities in various regions of the country. Suggestions on enhancing the effectiveness of the mechanisms supporting the establishment and functioning of innovation systems are gave.
