Abstract:

The ongoing digital transformation of the Russian economy involves the introduction of digital technologies in all spheres and in all markets. Ensuring the competitiveness of the national financial market on the international level and improving the quality of life are the key priorities for the development of the national economy. At the same time, it is essential to gain in-depth understanding of digital financial services and the demand for them in various segments in order to ensure the competitiveness of the national market. The Covid-19 pandemic has become a catalyst for the development of digital financial services and the growing demand for them. The development of the digital segment in Russia has brought about the legislative consolidation of the category of digital financial assets and the launch of the «Marketplace» project. This study focuses on the specifics of digital financial services and aims to identify the prerequisites and areas of the development of digital financial services in the context of the digital transformation of national economy. Methodologically, the study relies on the methods of retrospective analysis, comparison, grouping, and synthesis. The study discusses the factors that affect the development of digital financial services and analyzes strategic documents aimed at the formation of digital financial services in Russia. As a result, priorities for the mid-term development of digital financial services are formulated. Further research in this field can be focused on the development of individual segments of the market of digital financial services, taking into account the specifics of the end user and the priorities of the digital development of national economy.
