Abstract:

The article seeks to argue that within the framework of late capitalism, referred to as the modern economy, there exists a genesis of relations transitioning towards the post-market and post-capitalist phases. The study relies on the Post-Soviet School of Critical Marxism, employing a dialectical method, to support and justify this viewpoint. This method reveals qualitative changes in economic development, specifically the emergence of relations distinct from commodity production, embodied in the market and capital. Elements of the «new» system (post-capitalism) are observed within the «old» system (capitalism), leading to contradictions in the transformation of market and capital into a new system. Drawing from practices spanning the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, the article identifies key blocks of transitional relations: forms of public regulation, the development of public goods, various types of public property, accessibility of essential resources, a solidarity economy, and progressive taxation for social development. In conclusion, the article asserts that the objectively determined development of post-market and post-capitalist relations contributes to the progress of socio-economic systems, building on the authors’ earlier argumentation of this thesis.
