Abstract:

The purpose of this article is to review the national and foreign literature on the theoretical aspects of the spatial organization of the territorial development. The main objective of the study is to consider the evolution of concepts and models of the spatial development of socio-economic processes. New approaches to the study of the spatial effects of economic development (search and assessment of the tightness of interregional relationships in socio-economic processes, the study of smart specializations of territorial development, spatial clustering and modeling) that should be taken into account when implementing spatial strategies at the macroeconomic, regional and municipal levels are revealed. We have established the relevance of the theories of spatial interaction of various territorial systems development in solving the most important socio-economic problems, theories of inter- territorial cooperation. We made conclusion that with a variety of scientific approaches and positions, there is currently no single platform for spatial development of territories. The results of the study can be used by government authorities and local governments during developing of spatial strategies for socio-economic development.
