Abstract:
Social Innovations presents the new dynamically developing phenomenon that let local groups to whole countries decide social problems and rise competitiveness in contemporary economics. The article shows the essence and specifics of social innovations, examines some evolution trends that arises actuality of this phenomenon, discusses the sources of innovations, the role of government and other actors on their realization. Special attention is given to analyze the process of creation and embodiment of social innovations in public sector and the restrictions they meet.
