Methodical approaches to the estimation of innovative development in the regions

Abstract:

The article aims to reveal the theoretical background and show the possibility of using the popular methodological approaches for measuring innovation processes in the region to assess the regional innovation system. It presents a typology and features of approaches to regional innovation system, including a description of its constituent elements, the participants, as well as restrictions in the form of ignoring higher order systems. The evolution of ideas and evidence of the impact of entrepreneurship on innovation development. Revealed limitations in current approaches to the measurement of innovation in the region, not to take into account a holistic chain interaction and display of system properties of elements of the regional innovation system.
