Political economy as a general economic theory and the regional aspect of the socio-economic development of modern Russia

Abstract:

The article discusses two mutually tied theoretical themes: one is related to political economy, the other — to methodology of economy application disciplines, more exactly — to the discipline of that part of regional economy which reflects real economy of the region as exposition of common features (laws) of concrete economic system. The first part of the article contains an analysis of state of scientific machinery, which is used in research works and teaching textbooks on economic theory, as far as content and comparison of senses of such terms like economic, producing and institutional relations, which been used as key machinery terms. The second part of the article touches a question of different types of regions in the economy of contemporary Russia, “basic” and “secondary” factors of their forming, as far as of contradictions between economic fundamentals and institutional forms of their organization. There are also examined problems of development of real regional economy in a context of All-Russian strategy of socio-economic movement of our country.
