Human Potential of the Russian North and Arctic

Abstract:

This article examines the issues of formation of human capital of the Russian North and the Arctic. The authors identified the socio-demographic characteristics and regional differences in the reproduction of the population and labor potential, the impact of the industrial development of the quantitative composition and age-sex structure of the population. Depletion of mineral reserves and forests involves instability of social and economic development of communities and the Russian North and the Arctic. The authors noted features of the formation of the labor potential of these regions.
