Abstract:
There are two interrelated trends of the modern economy development. The first is the digital transformation of business, that means the adaptation of digital technologies in all sphere of economic management. The last trend, due to the digital technologies, consumers take more active part in goods and services formation by developing the share economy. The purpose of this study is to systematize the development trends of business digital transformation. As a result of the study, we have systematized the problems of business digital transformation, which include the assessment of external firms’ activity, the mutual use of advanced digital technologies and taking into account the risks of digitalization associated with poor management, employee skills and the need to develop an appropriate digital strategy. We identify the main trends of digital business transformation. These are artificial intelligence and deep machine learning, “smart things”, virtual and augmented reality, big data, attracting remote employees, blockchain, adaptive security architecture, customer-centred orientation. The digital transformation of business is the basis of the modern formation of the share economy, i.e. the economy based on the collective use of goods and services, barter and rent instead of property. The theoretical significance of the results lies in the development of a systemic view of the processes of business digital transformation. The practical significance of the results consists in the development of an applied approach to assessing various directions of introducing advanced digital technologies in the economic activities of firms.
