Abstract:
Academic mobility has become an important phenomenon that is inherent in modern educational reality. The problem of the formation and development of the intellectual capital of the region in conjunction with the factor of academic mobility is poorly understood and insufficiently developed in theoretical and practical terms. The purpose of the article is to identify and systematize the most significant aspects of the academic mobility of students and show its impact on the development of regional and individual intellectual capital. Fundamental premises of economics in the field of intellectual capital and academic mobility have comprised the methodological foundation of the study. This research is based on the methods of analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, and abstraction. As for information sources, this article has examined Russian and foreign research on the stated problem and has been supported by the results of own empirical research. The authors of this study have revealed that academic mobility creates additional professional competitive advantages among students, thereby forming their intellectual capital. Future research might regard the possibility of obtaining additional professional benefits through the students’ academic mobility.
